Until the 16th century, the French painting art was well developed by the influence of the Italy painting art and Nederland art. But the French Renaissance was different from Italy. It was not established on humanism, but affected by the powerful imperial authority. It was prospered under the KingFrancois I’s aesthetic conceptions. Fouquet was the most important painting artists in the early stage of the French Renaissance. He was named as the father of French Renaissance.
